چکیده
This paper aims to explore the construction of an individualized pulmonary artery stenosis model based on computed tomography (CT) images. The is simulated using a porous medium, and numerical simulation carried out by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method discuss non-Newtonian effects hemodynamics. hemodynamic parameters quantitative pressure ratio (QPPR) right are obtained. change curves show that more significant than those Newtonian fluid. Under condition, velocity drop faster when blood flow enters into region. There high wall shear stress in downstream. margin error between QPPR value clinical measurement not 10%. work provides evidence closer reality medium used model. contributes assessing severity behavior essential guide disease treatment.

Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Blood Flow Simulation after Arterial Stenosis- Steady State and Pulsatile Approaches
Arterial stenosis, for example Atherosclerosis, is one of the most serious forms of arterial disease in the formation of which hemodynamic factors play a significant role. In the present study, a 3-D rigid carotid artery with axisymmetric stenosis with 75% reduction in cross-sectional area is considered. Laminar blood flow is assumed to have both Newtonian and non-Newtonian behavior (generalize...
متن کاملA Numerical Analysis for the Effect of Slip Velocity and Stenosis Shape on Non-Newtonian Flow of Blood (TECHNICAL NOTE)
The aim of this paper is to study the effect of slip velocity and shape of stenosis on non-Newtonian flow of blood through a stenosed arterial segment. Blood is modeled as Bingham-Plastic fluid in a uniform circular tube with a radially non-symmetric stenosis. The problem is investigated by a joint effort of analytical and numerical techniques. The influence of stenosis shape parameter, slip ve...
متن کاملEffects of Stenosis on Non-newtonian Flow of Blood in Blood Vessels
An attempt has been made to investigate the wall shear stress, resistance parameter and flow rate across mild stenosis situated symmetrically on steady blood flow through blood vessels with uniform or non-uniform cross-section by assuming the blood to be Non-Newtonian, incompressible and homogeneous fluid. An analytic solution for Power law Fluid, Bingham Plastic fluid, Casson Fluid has been ob...
متن کاملNon-Newtonian effects of blood flow on hemodynamics in distal vascular graft anastomoses.
Non-Newtonian fluid flow in a stenosed coronary bypass is investigated numerically using the Carreau-Yasuda model for the shear thinning behavior of the blood. End-to-side coronary bypass anastomosis is considered in a simplified model geometry where the host coronary artery has a 75% severity stenosis. Different locations of the bypass graft to the stenosis and different flow rates in the graf...
متن کاملEffects of non-newtonian properties of blood flow on magnetic nanoparticle targeted drug delivery
Objective(s): One applications of nanotechnology is in the area of medicine which is called nanomedicine. Primary instruments in nanomedicine can help us to detect diseases and used for drug delivery to inaccessible areas of human tissues. An important issue in simulating the motion of nanoparticles is modeling blood flow as a Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid. Sometimes blood flow is simulated ...
